Off line working during a plane trip
Traditional WorkMovr requires a direct and synchronous connection to the central server.  Every Task page needs to be refreshed immediately from the server.  Therefore, there cannot be any offline working.

With WorkMovr under Groove, we break down the work into small, discrete logical business units.  When the Individual connects to Groove, Groove Replicates all the appropriate Work Units to her laptop.  Groove also Replicates back all her Work Units completed since the previous connection.

WorkMovr imports completed Work Units, and moves the Processes forward.  During a 2 or 3 minute connection and Replication, the previously completed Work Units will often release new Work Units for the next session

WorkMovr harmonizes with the Groove Replication to resolve any Concurrency Conflicts, where 2 off line Individuals have completed the same Work Unit.

A Work Unit includes all the Data, Comments and Documents necessary to complete the Work Unit.  Directly Groove establishes that the complete Work Unit has been Replicated, the work is presented to the Individual.

If the Individual breaks connection during the transmission of the Work Unit, Groove realizes that event, and will merely resume the transmission during the next connection.  The Individual is only presented with Work Units that Groove has verified are whole and intact.

At any point the Individual may break the connection and continue working in a disconnected mode.  She may finish all her assignments until she next has an opportunity to connect.
